For the first time in its history, Budapest is hosting the Judo World Championships. The event will take place from 28 August to 3 September in the Hungarian capital. The first major event of international judo with the focus of the Olympics in Tokyo 2020.

The first six days will be dedicated to the individual events. Two categories per day, one male and one female, are on the program. From the lightest to the heaviest. A team competition will be held on Sunday 3 September.
